Areti Christodoulou - Senior Event Coordinator
I joined marcus evans as an Event Coordinator in April 2007 and for me that was a very exciting and thrilling beginning. Full of excitement and eagerness to excel, I wanted to learn fast and I was willing to take on new projects and tasks. I believe that joining marcus evans has been one of the best opportunities in my career.
Nearly three years later I still consider my job at marcus evans to be the best employment opportunity. Being an Event Coordinator involves a high level of organisational and interpersonal skills. My daily activities include processing of sponsorship contracts, providing assistance to all Summit Event Managers for the preparation of our Summits and communication with all the departments from our offices around the world.
Our prompt action when it comes to processing Visa applications for our participants, flight documentation for our fellow team members, to preparing the documentation for the payment of our suppliers and making sure the adequate supplies of Summit material are onsite for the smooth running of our summits, is a prerequisite to be a successful Event Coordinator.
A day in the office is never the same; as we live and work in a dynamic business environment, I am also dynamic, self motivated, precise and punctual. There are many challenges to face every day but for me this is what makes my job and my life at the same time stimulating.
As an Event Coordinator I also travel to various destinations and take part in Summits onsite. Timing is everything when we are running a summit and eye to detail is vital as it is a high-pressure environment. Onsite I work closely with the Event Manager and assist the whole marcus evans team. Team work here is at its best, and there is no better feeling than when you know you are part of a successful Summit.
I look forward to the future here at marcus evans and I know I can trust my environment to help me improve and excel.
