Susanna Symeonides - Senior Event Manager
I joined the marcus evans Cyprus office in August 2004 as a Summit Marketing Manager, and spent two and a half years in the Marketing Department. I felt, however, that I needed a fresh challenge, and so applied for a vacant position in Event Management, making the move in January 2007.I have not looked back since! The role is incredibly varied, and I very much enjoy the responsibilities it brings. No two days, and no two Summits are the same. I enjoy the contact with clients, the preparation phase of each event in the office, and of course the running of the Summit onsite. The international travel, fast pace and fantastic colleagues I work with, all combine to make my job very enjoyable. I have had the opportunity to work on events all over Europe and Asia so far, making me the envy of many of my friends outside the company!
A methodical approach, commercial awareness, an eye for detail, and the ability to think on your feet are essential to the position of Event Manager. Any other qualities that you can bring to the role are of course an advantage. My background in French helps me a lot, as we run many events in France, Monaco and the French-speaking region of Switzerland.
I hope to continue my career at marcus evans - I am open to new responsibilities and ideas, and feel that there are many opportunities within this young company."
