"Anna Friel working with Oscar-winning writer"
Anna Friel can be seen again on the big screen as she stars in the directorial debut of Oscar-winning writer William Monahan.
Friel, who is represented by Ken McReddie Associates agency, will play Briony in ‘London Boulevard’. Fellow Ken McReddie actor Lee Boardman will also feature in the romantic crime/drama film.
The film marks a significant turning point for Monahan, who was screenwriter for ‘The Departed’, ‘Body of Lies’, and also stars Colin Farrell, Kiera Knightly and David Thlewis.
‘London Boulevard’ has been adapted from Ken Bruen’s novel of the same name about a criminal in London who’s just been released from prison and becomes involved with a young actress.
Monahan won the Best Writing, Adapted Screenplay accolade at the 2007 Academy Awards.
The release date for the film has been set for October 2010.
Ken Mcreddie is a marcus evans entertainment company.
