Interconnection can account for as much as 60% of an operator’s revenue Interconnection can account for as much as 60% of an operator’s revenue. With the introduction of IP Interconnection, however, that is about to change. IP threatens the revenue streams that operators have traditionally enjoyed since the advent of the telephone. Migration to an all IP platform is inevitable; however, in order to protect themselves, operators must strategically make this migration or suffer tremendous revenue losses.
Following the success of the Evolving Telecoms and IP Interconnection Forum 2007, this marcus evans case study driven conference will further explore the evolving telecoms landscape and its impact on interconnection models. We will address the key commercial, technical, and regulatory challenges facing telcos as they migrate to an all IP environment. This will enable them to maximise interconnection revenue streams in the present as well as the future. Key issues to be addressed include ensuring end-to-end QoS, billing and settling agreement issues, and the effect of convergence on interconnection. Delegates will walk away with a comprehensive understanding of how to take their interconnection strategies to the next level.
