With the global current credit crunch affecting markets across the region – budgets for programs and projects are increasingly under scrutiny. Managers are under more and more pressure to demonstrate who intangibles are contributing to the organisations bottom line. The ROI methodology encompasses how organisations – both large and small in a very practical way, should use ROI to measure the return of investing in training, human resources, quality, technology, and marketing.
Any program or project that is implemented within an organization is done so that it “ultimately” makes money, saves money, or avoids costs for the organization. This is how the ROI is developed. However, the ROI Methodology that is being presented in the workshop requires that additional data are collected so that the program or process can be improved. Also, because other data is collected in addition to the monetary benefits and costs, we are in essence reporting results that are important to all stakeholders. The methodology is intended to be used for investment in people and programs.
By developing six types of measures, the ROI methodology not only helps learning professionals determine the financial return on investment for training programs, but also provides data that will allow you to improve programs.
Each participant will receive a 150 page workbook which includes tools, resources, and case studies; a copy of Show Me The Money: How to Determine ROI in People, Projects and Programs, by Drs. Jack and Patti Phillips, and The Phillips ROI Methodology™ model.
