Portman Road bids farewell to another season

Ipswich Town secured a win at Portman Road last Saturday in what was the final home game of the season.

The Blues triumphed 2-1 against Preston in the penultimate game of the season.

Manager Paul Jewell said the victory over Preston was reflective of the season as a whole.

“The display was symptomatic of where we are and why we are there. I can’t wait for the season to end really. We will go to Leicester next week and no doubt our fans will be there in their numbers because they always are and we will look to finish the season on a winning note and then we can look forward to starting properly next year.”

ITFC will now face Sven-Goran Eriksson’s Leicester City on Saturday (7 May) in the season finale at the Walkers Stadium.

ITFC is a marcus evans company.
